Compensation & Benefits: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary range is $55,000-59,000.00 with competitive benefits (Individual Health & Dental Coverage, Individual Retirement Account Contribution, and Paid Time Off)


About Denver Kids:
In 1946, Denver Public Schools (DPS) and the Rotary Club of Denver partnered to form Denver Boys with the purpose of providing academic support, mentorship, and job skills for boys who were dropping out of school to work and provide for their families when their fathers did not return from WWII. Denver Girls was founded in 1970 to follow the same academic and mentor support model. In 1993, Denver Kids became the merged entities of Denver Boys and Denver Girls to consolidate programs and funding.

Position Summary:
The Alumni Coordinator will play a crucial role in developing and managing a comprehensive alumni program. Their responsibilities include researching past and new alumni, creating an engaging program, implementing robust data tracking systems, and establishing clearly defined goals. To ensure the program's successful growth, it will be implemented in four strategic phases:


Phase 1: Data & Research
● Conducting extensive research and data collection on past and new alumni
● Collecting and entering data and creating organization systems
● Supporting other teams in data collection that will support the alumni program


Phase 2: Design & Development
● Defining program purpose and goals
● Identifying target alumni sub-groups
● Collaborating with staff, board and other stakeholders
● Drafting program structure
● Identifying appropriate alumni management tools

Phase 3: Implementation
● Launching the alumni program with selected initiatives
● Utilizing a CRM for database management and communication
● Organizing events and networking opportunities


Phase 4: Evaluation
● Assessing program effectiveness using defined metrics
● Gathering feedback from alumni and stakeholders
● Making data-driven decisions for program improvement


The Alumni Coordinator will report to the VP of Development and closely collaborate with program teams.

General:

o Adhere to Denver Kids’ Policies and Procedures, inclusive of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) practices, as well as ethical standards of the field
o Work collaboratively in a team-based setting
o Participate in leadership/professional development including on-going training
o Flexibility to take on or support other responsibilities across the organization

Qualifications:


Required:
● Bachelor's degree in a related field (Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or Education) or 4
years of relevant experience
● Requires current Colorado driver’s license with a clean and safe driving record
● Up-to-date auto insurance

Working Conditions:
● Urban city and school district
● Working with Denver Public School (DPS) students and families who may or may not face circumstances, including but not limited to, poverty, homelessness, domestic violence and immigration
● This position will also work with former students and adults of all ages who were past participants in our program
● Driving to and from schools, events and/or other local entities as necessary
● Regular working hours Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, this position will also have some evening and weekend events to meet the needs of the population served
● Occasionally transport students for Denver Kids events
