Denver Kids is excited to announce Jay Grimm as the organization's CEO.  An experienced director and nonprofit leader who is a member of the Navajo Nation and a Colorado Native, Grimm joins Denver Kids after nearly five years with Denver Public Schools (DPS) as the Director of Whole Child. In this role, Grimm oversaw the execution of providing equitable and inclusive environments for students in DPS. Prior to DPS, Grimm served as Executive Director of Aurora Public Schools Foundation and the Denver Indian Center.

During his time with the Aurora Public Schools Foundation, Grimm helped implement the district's first College and Career Centers in multiple high schools, tripling the amount of scholarship funds for students. "Jay is passionate about the mission, vision, and programs of Denver Kids," said Michael Macias, Denver Kids Board Member who led the CEO search committee, "I believe he will support the staff and students as well as the longevity of the organization." Denver Kids is also excited about Grimm's commitment to continuing the organization's initiative in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). "He shared his experience with moving DEIB goals forward, as well as living them," said Craig Mills, Denver Kids Board Chair.

Grimm shared, "I am thrilled to join the incredible team at Denver Kids and carry on the proud tradition of ensuring that all students graduate and achieve their dreams. This job is a culmination of my work experiences and my passion for helping youth and my community." Denver Kids is excited to have Grimm as the organization's next leader as we strive to grow our impact in Denver Public Schools and explore opportunities to improve the experience of our students.
